|Home / Life at Kings / The Marriage Course|
In a society where marriage is increasingly under pressure, we take seriously what the Bible has to say about it. In Ephesians 5 the relationship between husband and wife is likened to the relationship between Jesus and His Church. We want to aim for marriages which are built on that level of commitment, love and devotion.
We offer marriage preparation courses to engaged couples, helping to ensure that their future life together is built on a strong foundation. If you would like to sign up for the Marriage Preparation Course, please leave your details with the Info Point team on a Sunday.
Additionally we run the Marriage Course, which is designed for any couple wanting to work at building a strong and lasting relationship. Whether you have been married a few months, or many years; feel you have an excellent marriage, or that you have been struggling in some areas, the course will benefit you.
Both of these courses are very practical, covering topics like the ‘art of good communication’ to ‘the impact of having a family’. The Marriage Course is designed in such a way that, although built strongly on Christian principles, couples who are not Christians could also benefit.
The Marriage Course evening consists of a dinner for two along with video clips, a short teaching presentation and then time for private discussion. It lasts for seven weeks and is normally held in the autumn term each year. There is a nominal charge to cover the cost of food and resources.
Here’s what people are saying about the course:
